Hibiscus

This is a flower on the hibiscus bush in my back yard. Pretty, huh?

Cactus Garden Update

Here is the cactus garden planted in it's bigger container. I need a few more rocks for the top, but I should have those added next weekend and I'll try to update this post with the new photo. I moved the cactus garden to my front porch so that it would be in the shade early in the mornings and would get watered when it rains.

I had an amaryllis in the pot, but it had way outgrown the pot. When I took the plant out of the pot it had grown 3 extra bulbs. I planted them in 3 nursery pots until I decide where I want to plant them.

Tomato and Pepper Plants

I planted these tomato and pepper plants in a large pot in my back yard. I planted them in the pot so that I could move them when they needed it. I'm starting them out in an area that is shaded most of the day to get them established, but will move them to full sun in a couple of weeks.

Desert Rose

This is a cactus garden I created months ago. I had ordered some desert rose seeds off Ebay a while back and wanted to creat a cactus garden with one. The plants are outgrowing their container, so I'm going to plant them in a larger container to allow them more growth. I'll post a picture of them in their new container later today.

Meet Rosie

This is my cat Rosie. She doesn't like going outside much, but ventures outside occassionally to see why Ming Ming likes it out there. This was taken right after she went outside, and right before Ming Ming saw her and wanted to play. She decided that she wanted to go back inside then!

It Bloomed Again!

I got another photo of my Queen of the Night cactus bloomed. I caught this when I got up this morning. I put a little picture of the bud yesterday as well.

Moss Rose

This is a plant that I always remember as my one of my grandma's favorite plants. There are dozens of these growing randomly throughout my yard, and they always remind me of when I was younger and my grandma had this basically as a ground cover in her garden. She had a lot of different colors, but all I've found in my yard is pink. If you look closely you can also see a baby catapillar on the grass blade by the lower flower..
